Happy birthday, PS5! The PlayStation 5 was released on November 12, 2020. It’s still hard to find, but it’s incredible to play. This console has everything: ray-tracing, a new wireless controller with adaptive triggers, an 825GB SSD and a whole bunch of other technical specs which look impressive but don’t really make much sense to me.

Can you believe that the longest running live-action comedy series in TV history is about five friends that own a dive bar, Paddy’s Pub in southern Philadelphia? We know what you’re thinking, “how could this show possibly be that good if it sounds boring?” Don’t be fooled by the premise of the show, these are not your average ordinary people you’d come across any day. Narcissistic, self-absorbed, and unhinged are just a few of the words to describe “The Gang,” which is made up of none other than Dennis, Charlie, Mac, Dee and Frank Reynolds.
If you haven’t watched It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia yet you are missing out on one of the greatest TV shows of all time! With all the crazy antics The Gang get themselves into, it’s only right that you enjoy the show while drinking delicious beers… and maybe eating rum ham? The 2021 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics ended last week. After being postponed a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many believed that it would not happen. And if they did, it would be shut down to an outbreak. The games did happen and it was a successful two weeks of exciting competition. Credit to the host country of Japan and all those involved in keeping the athletes safe because this Summer Olympics did not disappoint.
As predicted, Team USA finished on top of the medal count with 113 medals; 39 gold, 41 silver and 33 bronze. And to honor Team USA’s dominance, PorchDrinking has created the Summer Olympics Ultimate 6er.
Ultimate 6er | U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team

The Tokyo 2021 2020 summer games are in full swing. The events officially kicked off on Friday, but the United States National Women’s Soccer Team is already three games into their quest for the Gold Medal.
Despite being back-to-back World Cup Champions in 2015 and 2019, this USWNT came into this this year’s competition with a chip on their shoulder. An early exit from the 2016 games in Rio was still fresh in their minds five years later. However, maybe the unexpected extra year was too long. The USWNT came out incredibly flat and lost an embarrassing 3-0 match to Sweden. The USWNT bounced back in their second game in the group stage, defeating New Zealand 6-1 before drawing even, nil to nil, with Australia Despite the lackluster effort in group play, the USWNT has advanced to tournament play and will face the Netherlands on Friday at 7:00 am EST.
The United States has a tough road ahead of them this year. All eyes will be on the reigning back-to-back World Cup champions to see how they play the rest of the tournament.

Rake Beer Project, in Muskegon, Michigan, is less than two years old, and whether you love them or hate being told to stay home to help curb a relentless global pandemic, they’ve probably slowed your newsfeed scroll at least twice in 2020. And, like it or not (trigger warning): they’re about to do it a third time.
At the onset of Covid-19 flipping Earth into The Upside Down, Michigan’s Governor Gretchen Whitmer was unfazed after being slapped with a belittling nickname, “That Woman From Michigan,” by (three guesses) “That President From New York.” Twitter deflected the shade and clapped back on her behalf: Photoshop helped place a pair of Cartier sunglasses (known as “Buffs” in Detroit) on Whitmer, and The Michigangster was soon rebranded “Big Gretch.” In a public display of support for the governor’s Stay at Home Order, Rake joined the party, threw a non-red hat in the ring, and made a beer in her honor.

One takeaway from 2020 is that when it comes to surviving an apocalypse, we all need a reason to keep going. For many of us, beer has been a saving grace in this most trying of years but back in 2009, cult horror-comedy movie “Zombieland”’s Tallahassee (aka Woody Harrelson) got his motivation in the form of a Twinkie – the classic American cream-sponge cake produced by Hostess. These “spongy, yellow, delicious bastards” have, in turn, inspired a Halloween tag-team brewing project from Lakewood Brewing and Intrinsic Smokehouse and Brewery – a salute to the “Zombieland” opening scene in their home town of Garland, TX. In the “Zombieland” franchise, the Twinkie acts as a beacon, a signifier – a sign that survival is indeed possible. And when the world is coming to an end, there are certainly worse things to do than hunt for your favorite snack.
